1.8 GB memory limit

Michael Herron
I am running ImageJ on a Mac.  My memory limit is set to 1.8GB which
I understand is the upper limit to Java right now.

What are the prospects for increasing that limit  in the near future?

Does this same limit apply to Java on the PC platform?

Thanks,
Mike

So my 64 bit G5s are not REALLY 64 bit?  Or is it some other aspect
(s) of the system (Mac Dual G5 desktop) that limits me?
