Hi,
It doesn't look like ImageJ does an "equivalent" conversion when it makes an
8-bit greyscale image out of a 16-bit image. For instance, a relatively
"bright" pixel that is 10% of max in the 16-bit image will be 70% of max in
the 8-bit image. It looks like there is some automatic scaling done. Can
someone explain to me how the conversion is done?
