1D filtering

Neil Fazel
Is it possible to do 1D filtering in ImageJ? For example, a 1D row- or column-wise median filter would restrict the search for a median to the pixels on same row (bzw. column) as the target pixel. This is useful for example when looking at fringes in a shadow created by a thin wire.

Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil,

you can use the 'Fast Filters' plugin; set either the 'x Radius' or the 'y
Radius' to zero ('Link x&y' must be off).
