.1sc biorad format

Johannes-P. Koch
Dear community,

I have a rather old file recorded on a Biorad GelDoc unit, saved as .1sc
file.

As you can imagine, I have quite a problem opening the file as the old
GelDoc system is already gone for a while and the new one does not
support the old file formats (instead creates .scn!). Thanks Biorad!

Is anyone aware of any software/plugin  that allows me to open such .1sc
files?

Thank you

Johannes

Bio-Formats supports these files. Please let us know if you have any trouble
with it!

Re: .1sc biorad format

Johannes-P. Koch
Curtis,

thanks for your response.

I tried it with bioformats, yet it did not work.
I will contact you off-list and send you the error message.

Thanks
Johannes

Hi everyone,

For the list archive: Johannes contacted me off-list to let me know that
after updating to the latest version, Bio-Formats was able to read his
files.

Sorry to re-open an old thread. I'm really pleased to learn that Bio-formats can open .1sc files as I have lots of those.

Is there any chance it can be made to open Bio-rad's newer .scn format that has replaced .1sc?

I'm pretty sure that this is NOT the same format as the Li-Cor .scn files.
