3D viewer

Fabrice Senger
Hi everybody,

those days I'm working a lot with 3D viewer, in FIJI and ImageJ aswell.

When I use "Load 4D data" the result is somewhat strange...sometimes the
stacks are opened without problem, and sometimes the LOCI window pops up
as if FIJI or IJ does not recognize the stack format.

In addition when the stacks are opened, for example there 10 stacks in a
folder, the program tries to open one more stack...

When everything works fine, sometimes the animation bar for the time
series works and I can cycle trough the stacks, and sometimes this tool
does'nt appear...

Besides this I finally managed to use the "register" function and
"export" the transformed stacks...this looks very good...

Globally, I had a look at the 3D viewer site and could not find a
description or manual for those very interesting features.

Thank you for help and suggestions,

Fabrice.

Hi Fabrice,

For loading the images in a directory, IJ.openImage() is used. The way
to open the image, or whether LOCI is used, depends on the format of the
images. Also, LOCI may open if there is a file in the directory which
can not be opened otherwise. (So maybe files which aren't images at
all).

This may be the same problem. I assume there are files in the folder
which are no images. Could you check that?

I'll check this. So far, It never happened to me, however, I must admit
that I rarely use the 4D viewer.

So may this is a good opportunity to point to my new website, which is
not fully finished, but contains much more documentation than the old
one. You find it at

Best wishes,
