Accessing MAC IPLAB format images without dialog

Lawrence B Kramer
Hi,

I wanted to be able to open MAC IPLAB format images using ImageJ.  There is a reader plugin for Windows IPLAB format image but none for images created using the MAC version of the IPLAB software.  I found a macro that did the trick (OpenMacIplab), but the only way I can figure to use this is to run the macro which segues into a dialog, from which in turn I can open an image.

The above unwieldy when there are hundreds of images that I need to browse through quickly in selecting images for use in a publication.

As an alternative I downloaded the Bio-formats.jar file and tried using this to open images.  It was a definite step in the right direction since I can now just drop the images on the ImageJ toolbar to open them.  However, this generates a dialog box each time which I have to click "ok" in to actually see my image.

Does anyone happen to know a way to bypass Bio-formats Import Options dialog when I drop an image onto ImageJ?

Thanks,

Larry

Hi Lawrence,

From the menu, choose: Plugins > LOCI > LOCI Plugins Configuration

Select IPLab from the list, and check the "Windowless" option.

IPLab files will now open according to the most recent settings in the
dialog. To change the settings, temporarily uncheck the Windowless box and
open an IPLab file, then recheck the box again.

HTH,
Curtis
