Assisted drawing of line ROI

Michael Doube
  Hi all,

I'm looking for a tool that I'm sure I've seen somewhere but can't
locate on the web.

The tool semi-automatically traces a line ROI based on coordinates
supplied by the user (clicks) and some feature in a 2D image, like a
bright band or boundary.  The resulting ROI is thus snap-fitted to the
feature quickly and without tedious tracing.

I found Snakes, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

I'd appreciate any quick pointers, or simply the right word to google with.

Thanks,

Michael

There was a plugin
called "Live wire" that was a really good idea, but unfortunately never
worked in my setup (some problem with the refreshing of the line being
drawn).
Check that it may be what you were looking for.

Alternatively I
think that the neurite tracer in fiji can do something like this (I never
used it though).
Cheers

  Gabriel,

LiveWire is the one, trying it out now - looks good.
