Automatic measuring bent or spiral objects

Hi I’m trying to automate the measuring of  Zooplankton, using ImageJ. I’m
hunting for an algorithm to measuring the length of bent shapes and spirals
and calculating their volumes. Has anyone done this using ImageJ?

You might want to check out the plugins on the Measure ROI page on my web
site.  They are 2D though.  You want to measure volume?
