Dear colleagues,
After the first release of a plugin (named
a_posteriori_shading_correction_514) aiming at correcting shading in images
without the requirement to record additional images, I have been asked to
increase the possibilities of this plug-in, if possible.
Requirements concerned the ability to work with 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit and
color images.
Other requirements concerned the degrees of the polynomial used to model the
background, which should be chosen by the user rather than imposed.
Finally, the possibility to have a module for automatic (rather than
semi-automatic) processing was also requested.
All these possibilities are now incorporated in a new version of the
plug-in, which is now called a_posteriori_shading_correction_514_v3.
