Batch printing images with filenames

It seems common to automatically or manually collect multiple images with
microscopes, etc.
Is there a way to print a group of tif images such that, in order of
preference:
1. The filename would also appear over or under the image
2. The saved date would also appear
3. Optionally, one could choose printing several on each sheet, e.g., six
per page.
Ideally, two sided printing would work for all of the images.

You have to look for an Image Browser application appropriate for Your
OS. E.g. for Windows users "IrfanView" will do the job or "gthumb" for
Linux users.

Two-sided printing depends on Your printer driver.

Karlis- Why didn¹t I think of that?  I was about to work on a macro for
this, but your Image Browser tip solved it.
I already have a browser- iPhoto.  I just tested it and it works- I can drag
the images into an album, e.g., Micrographs, select the images I want
printed, File- Print- Customize...-
and choose the contact sheet theme with as many images as I¹d like per page,
all neatly labeled with the filenames!
Thanks,
Bruce
