Bio-Formats update and .nd2?

TimFeinstein
Has anyone else noticed a problem with Fiji reading .nd2 files via
bio-formats?  I had been extremely gratified to find that the plugin
recently started correctly interpreting multi-XY .nd2 files, but this
morning trying to import .nd2 files leads to a new interface that I have
not seen before.  It asks me to identify the file name and pattern for
'Bio-Formats File Stitching'.  Is this a new feature of Bio-Formats or was
that previously done automatically?  I am back to using Elements Viewer to
make TIFFs to import by hand, which works but takes more time and I lose
the metadata.

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

>'Bio-Formats File Stitching'

In the Bio-Formats importer dialog, do you have "Dataset organization -
Group files with similar names" enabled? This flag is for multi-file
formats, so if that's not what you want you should be able to simply
uncheck this option.

If the File Stitching dialog is coming up without this option checked then
you may want to contact the Bio-Foramts team directly for advice. They
maintain their own bug tracking system. There are instructions for
reporting issues here:
http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/bio-formats5.1/about/bug-reporting.html

They are quite responsive and will be able to determine if this is a bug or
deficiency in Bio-Formats, or a problem in the importer configuration.

Best,
Mark

Thanks Mark, that did it.  I must have checked that option without
noticing it.
