Hi,
Is there anybody that has experience with using the LiveWire plugin written by Daniel Lelis Baggio (http://imagejdocu.tudor.lu/doku.php?id=plugin:segmentation:livewire_plugin:start) in ImageJ version 1.48b? I tried to follow the installation instructions on the website, but I am not getting anywhere. I copied the .jar file to the “ImageJ/plugins/Tools” folder (had to create this folder as it didn’t exist in my ImageJ installation). But then I get stuck. According to the instructions the plugins should appear in places such as “ImageJ/plugins/Tools/LiveWire1DTool_.class”. The instructions also say that the LiveWire buttons can be installed through a macro (Instructions: “This is simple. Start ImageJ then, go to “Plugins→Macro>Install…”. Point to the extracted file: “ImageJ/plugins/Tools/LiveWire.txt”. This will install the LiveWire buttons to ImageJ toolbar.”). However, there doesn’t appear to be LiveWire1DTool_.class or a LiveWire.txt file anywhere after I restart ImageJ. Any suggestions where I am going wrong would be very welcome. Hi Volko,
I have tested this for you (under IJ 1.48a). Everything works as described. You should not copy the jar file to the "ImageJ/plugins/Tools folder. Instead you have to unpack / extract the content of the jar file into the destination folder. You can use WinZip, WinRar, 7zip or any other zip software. (jar files are like zip archives!) Hi Volko,
Are you using Micro-Manager? If so, the plugins directory for Imagej is, by default, C:\Program Files\Micro-Manager-1.4\plugins This might help too...
