Hi *,
maybe I am so tired that I do something silly… but… if I can login on fiji.sc with a certain user + pwd, should the exact same pair not also work for the fiji updater when uploading to my update site? After getting the regular pwd form (not containing a textbox for username): I get this (similar looking form, now with an extra field for username): Is there some kind of timer (so that after 3 wrong trials I have to wait for an hour or such)? Thanks for ideas for how I can fix this, Florian PS: So far I tried to change my pwd on fiji.sc, still no luck... -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 00.59.02.png (262K) Download Attachment Screen Shot 2015-02-08 at 00.59.20.png (260K) Download Attachment |
Hi Florian,

Actually, your username is the same, but unfortunately (for technical reasons) there are separate passwords for the wiki and the updater. Of course, you can set them to match, but they can get out of sync. You can reset your updater password using this link: http://imagej.net/Special:ChangeUploadPassword Regards, Curtis P.S. Your images did not come through, but I think that link above will solve it for you. Hi all,
As I could not remember my password for the fiji update site, I reset my password for the fiji wiki. Apparently that does not work (the updater keeps showing the password dialog over and over), and I found a mail from the beginning of the year that seems to confirm that the passwords for the wiki and the updater are independent. Unfortunately the special page indicated in that mail, http://imagej.net/Special:ChangeUploadPassword only leads me to an almost empty frame stating "Extension not yet configured!", so I cannot change my password via that either. Is there a way to reset the updater password, or could a kind maintainer copy my wiki password over to the updater password (or generate a random new one and send it to by mail if that is easier). Hi Adrian,
Sorry for the delay in reply. This was likely fixed by Johannes some days ago now, but it needs testing. Can you confirm that you are now able to change your password? Hi Curtis, hi Johannes, hi *,
Thanks a lot for picking this up, and thanks to Johannes for fixing this. There was no hurry, lots of other stuff to do. I was able to change the upload password, and the updater seems to have properly uploaded the new version 2.0.0 of my pendent drop plugin to http://sites.imagej.net/Daerr/ As soon as I find a few minutes to write a short wiki entry I will make a proper announcement. I changed the name of the jar file, marking the old one obsolete, so I do not know if users of the old version will see an automatic update, but if not I strongly recommend installing the new version. The "About Pendant Drop" menu entry contains detailled documentation and a sample image to test the plugin. Thanks for your help, best regards, Adrian On Fri, 18 Sep 2015 13:34:43 -0500 Curtis Rueden <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Adrian, > > Sorry for the delay in reply.
