Dear List,
Recently I posted some practical questions about retrieving and thresolding
color images. My need is to differentiate yellow pixels of gold area from
white grey pixels of nickel areas. I am currently using a color camera and
I came to the conclusion that the best practice is to sort the pixels :
- the yellow ones (gold areas) are those with the intensity of the red
channel higher than the intensity of the blue (and green) channel
- the grey/white ones (nickel) are the others.
I would ask the list to be sure that this approach is the best or if
another approach has to be considered.
Best,
Philippe
