Combining multiple criteria in Extended Partical Analyzer

Straub, Volko A. (Dr.)
Hi,

I am trying to use the Extended Particle Analyser to filter binary structure based on multiple criteria, e.g. size and roundness. However, when I set multiple criteria in the Extended Particle Analyzer, the different criteria appear to be combined in a logical 'OR' fashion, i.e. a particle needs to pass only one of the criteria to be included. Is there a simple option to change that behaviour so that the criteria are combined in an 'AND' fashion, e.g. only particles that are above a certain area size AND above a certain roundness threshold are selected?
Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks,
Volko

Dear Volko,

This is actually not n intended behaviour (which I also wonder why it
happens). Could you send a binary test image and your parameter
specifications (can also be as a recorded macro) to be able to test this
and figure out the problem.

Kind regrads,
Jan

Hi all,

Just to keep the list updated regarding the started topic. The Extended
Particle Analyzer behaves normal in combining the individual parameters in
the expected AND fashion. So, no worries for those using it.
