Hi,
The compactness is basically the normalized ratio between volume and
surface
C = V2/S3 (Volume exp 2, Surface exp 3)
The problem in images is how to compute surfaces, only the number or
border voxels, visible faces, ... ? The value should be between 0 and 1,
1 for a perfect sphere. I am currently working on that, I may update
explanation soon on the wiki site.
