Counting cell loss

Hi all,

I have a series of pictures of the same field of view taken at different times depicting a number of cells. The images are taken 15s apart, and as time goes on the number of cells in the frame decreases. In previous work I have used the cell counter plugin on every frame to count the total number of cells and then calculate the cell loss with each frame, however this leads to lots of double (triple, quadruple etc...) counting. I am wondering if there is a way to count all the cells in the first frame by putting marks on them, and then keeping an overlay of that over each subsequent frame, in which I remove marks where cells have been removed and can get numbers of cell loss that way. Sorry if I have not explained this well, I can provide pictures if that would help.

Many thanks,
Anton

Hi Rocco,

Thanks for responding. Here are some examples, these pics are of the same field of view, taken ~30 seconds apart as the number of cells on the slide decreases as they get washed away.
