DICOM_TAG errors in Fiji

Krs5
Dear all,

I noticed a difference in reading DICOM tags in macros between ImageJ and Fiji. In ImageJ (daily build) using getInfo(DICOM_TAG) gives the correct information, in Fiji (up-to-date, ImageJ daily build) I get a 1. No difference between java 1.6 and 1.8

Also when opening a DICOM file in Fiji the scale and contrast information is lost, presumable because this info is also not read correctly from the DICOM file. An older versions of Fiji (tested rc6, 1.49b) displays correctly and also runs the macro correctly.

Do others see the same?

Best wishes

Kees

Hi Kees,

If you go to Edit > Options > ImageJ2, do you have the SCIFIO option
checked? If so, that changes how DICOM is handled. If it unchecked though,
then these differences are surprising.

Curtis

Did you know ImageJ has a forum? http://forum.imagej.net/
