EM capture &/or opening images using macro/plugin

I was wondering if it was possible to aquire an image using ImageJ with an electron microscope CCD camera? there doesn't seem to be a plugin for us.  
If not, is there a plugin or macro that will open an image as soon as it's put into a given directory or into a specified ImageJ directory? i.e. can ImageJ scan and automatically open and run a macro on an image recently dumped into a directory?
