Hello,
I am looking for a little advice in utilising multiple ImageJ features at the same time.
I want to extrapolate length between each point and angle between 3 points of a segmented line or multi-point selections.
I would like to analyse images of a beaded structure. The length and shape of this structure varies considerably but all images are taken at the same magnification and resolution (1024x1024 pixels).
I want to measure;
1) the distance between each bead in the structure,
2) the angle between 3 beads of the structure (and then every angle from that point),
3) the total length of the structure,
and 4) the end to end distance as a straight line.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/37234177/ImageJ%20data%20points.JPGI know that ImageJ can do all of these things... But it does them separately, and does not record them.
For example, when I draw a segmented line it calculates the distance between each point, but only shows you in the quickview bar, rather than recording the value, it only calculates the total length of the line (which is something I need).
I can also calculate the angle between 3 points, but only one at a time and not multiple points. ImageJ only shows you angles relative to a horizontal plane of 0 for each segment too, rather than segment-to-segment.
I have searched the plugins and macros for anything which will allow me to do this but I cannot find anything suitable - I did find a plugin for measuring individual segments of segmented line from this forum, but it doesn't appear to work for me.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated as it will save me a hell of a lot of time analysing my images.
Thanks,
Libby.
