How I Stopped Being Broke in Family Farm Merge (My Personal Coins & Gems Tips)
Go here: Get Family Farm Merge Free Coins and Gems CodesConfession time! The first week I played in Family Farm Merge , I spent every single gem I had to speed up a bakery. Bakery! I didn't need the bread. I saw a timer and panicked like a raccoon on a shiny thing. If you are reading this wondering where it all went wrong, and why you have less gems than you thought, hi! I used to be in your place too. Pull up a hay bale. I've been playing this game pretty much everyday for quite some time now (my partner calls it "your little chicken game," [rude, but fair]), and I've picked up quite a few habits that keep my coins and gems far from being evaporated, and none of this are any fancy cheat-code or secret-dev-tricks. It's just the things I wish I knew before the Bakery Incident. Quick note: Merge games tend to tinker with things often, so if buttons or menus have different names from my's version don't fret! The concepts still apply. On with the tips! 1. Merge Five, Not Three (Seriously Just Wait) This is a tip that I can't stress enough. If you take anything from this, take this tip. Most if not all merge games, including this one (in my experience), give two of a higher item when you merge five, while three only give one. This free item you get by having a little patience in merge games have been a lifesaver for my resources. I used to merge the instant I saw three matching carrots, because my brain is matchy matchy, DO IT, but now I make myself wait. It feels like holding in a sneeze, and over a few days the amount of resources (and therefore coins for selling or completing orders with) is honestly crazy how much it helps. My rule of thumb is, if it isn't full, wait for five. If it is, go ahead and merge three. I'm not a monster. 2. Log In Every Day, Even If It's Just For 30 Seconds I know, I know. Logging in daily is the most boring piece of advice in the galaxy. Hear me out. Daily log-ins have rewards, and the later days of a streak tend to reward much more, including gems. I've literally logged in to do the daily just while waiting for my microwave popcorn to pop before, and it took less time than that to log in. Fun fact, I once broke a streak because I went camping somewhere with no signal, and when I got back, I was heartbroken (and my cat left the room as a man was walking his dog past my window, saying 'NOOO' loudly in my car). Worth it? The camping, yes. The streak loss, nope. Tip: Set a phone reminder if you are forgetful. Mine just says 'π' and I know what to do. 3. Stop Spending Gems On Timers (Learn From My Bread Shame) Gems feel like they're reserved for speeding up timers. That little flashing button just practically screams GEMS GO HERE, but here's what I do now instead. Here's what I wish to could've done back when I was panicking at the sight of that bakery. I start long timers before bed or work, such as an eight-hour production order. These are perfect because I'll be asleep anyway. I do short tasks while I actively play, quick merges and order completes before putting the phone down. Save gems for when it's important like when an event is about to close and I'm this close to a reward. Patience is a virtue, even if I've resented this specific one. 4. Orders And Quests Are Your Main Coin Machine Most of my coins come from just doing what the villagers ask. Completing orders and story quests pay out consistently and some of the higher ones give extra goodies. Family Farm Merge Free Coins and Gems My little ritual is I'll check what orders are available and complete the ones I can do with things I already have. Instead of selling order items, I keep them on my board. It used to be every two minutes I would sell something and then an order would pop up for it. Every. Single. Time. 5. Don't Ignore Achievements And Level-Up Rewards There's usually some sort of achievement or level up points that give out gems and coins that are super easy to neglect, since they can be a little hidden. I once found a little stash of unclaimed rewards after weeks of playing, as if it were a twenty I found in an old coat pocket. I did a little dance in my kitchen, and my cat left the room. Tip: Every few days poke around in the menu and find any little red notifications. Red dot = free stuff, usually. 6. Events Are Where The Good Gems Hide In my opinion, limited time events are the best way to build gems. They usually have their own goals and reward tracking with much better payouts than usual. How I play events are: I read what they want before I do anything, and to pace myself.Family Farm Merge Free Coins and Gems Save resources a day or two if you know one will be there, and don't burn yourself out trying to do everything on day one. I've been burnt out doing an event, and I didn't want to look at a pumpkin for a week. 7. Watch The Optional Ads (If You Can Stand Them) I am a little conflicted on this tip, because ads are generally annoying, but if the game offers optional ads for rewards, and you were going to watch them anyway, why not. I watch them while brushing my teeth to multitask. I've had toothpaste on my screen at least twice, but it's all good. 8. Keep Your Board Tidy (Clutter Costs You Money) A cluttered board leads to not being able to wait for fives to come along, and selling things in panic, thus losing the value. Occasionally I'll do a 'board clean' and sell or merge true junk that I'll never use, and grouping things for easier seeing. Use storage things the game gives as well for things I'm saving. My real life desk looks like an explosion happened in a stationery shop, but my farm board is immaculate. Priorities. 9. Friends And Social Stuff = Free Help If your version has friend or social stuff, use it! Adding and helping each other often times give little bonuses here and there. Small things add up. I had my sister to play just so I could have a gift friend. Now she plays more than I do and is a higher level than me. I've created a monster. The student has become the master. β Merge five whenever possible β Log in daily, even for a minute β Save gems; skip the speed-up buttons β Focus on orders and quests for coins β Claim achievements and level-up rewards β Go hard (but not too hard) on events β Watch optional ads during boring moments β Keep your board organized β Make farm friends Final Thoughts From Your Fellow Chicken-Game Addict The biggest change for me was not any single tip, but just slowing down. Once I stopped seeing every timer as an emergency and every three-match as a must-merge-NOW situation, my coins and gems started piling up almost on their own. Now, whenever I see that bakery on my farm, I give it a little nod. We've been through a lot together. Although it cost me dearly, it taught me everything. Do you have any tips? Or stories of your own of 'I wasted all my gems on something stupid'? Leave them in the comments. I promise I will read every single one (probably while waiting for a timer to finish π). Happy merging! πΎπ |
