Feature request about hyperstacks

lechristophe
Dear all,

Thanks to the last updates, the hyperstack functionnality is more and
more useful. However, IMHO there is two things that consistently slow
things down when working with hyperstacks :
- the lack of proper keyboard shortcuts to change slices along z and t
dimensions (in a typical hyperstack, the < and > will change slice
only along the channel dimension). A workaround is to have startup
macros defining these shotcuts. A dream-like feature would be to have
vertical and horizontal scrolling that are possible with most modern
mice scroll wheels / multi touch gestures on mac trackpads, but I
guess it depends on Java more than on ImageJ.
- the "Make montage" command only makes a mointage along the first
(channels) dimension. What would be great is to have an extended "Make
Montage" function/plugin that works with hyperstack and allows to make
montage grids with selected dimensions such as channels as horizontal,
z as vertical.

For the second proposal, I'm not able to program it by myself but I'd
be glad to help and test any experimental plugin, if someone more
skilled also finds it useful.

Thanks !

I have a macro hacked together that controls t and z using keys on
the number pad. Do you want it?
