Fiji File browser: How can I set "View Details" as default?

Guenter Giese
Dear list members,

I run Fiji on PC / Win 7 64bit.

When I want to open image sequences in Fiji and proceed to the
respective folder in the file browser, it always shows an icon view of
the files. If I set the View menu to "Details", it switches to the
Details view. But if I proceed to another folder, or after restarting
Fiji, it falls back to the Icons view.

Is there any variable in the ini menu or something similar, to set "View
Details" as default for the Fiji File browser "open Image Sequence" command?

Thank you for help,

Guenter

You could try disabling “Use file chooser to import sequences” in Edit>Options>Input/Output. On Windows, File>Import>Image Sequence uses the JFileChooser when this option is disabled. It uses the native file chooser when it is enabled unless “Use JFileChooser to open/save” is also enabled. Or, avoid using a file chooser by dragging and dropping the folder of images onto the “ImageJ” window.
