Dear Image J Mailing List:
I am a user of Image J software. i have a question about the use of this
software to analysis of mitochondrial activity in vitrified mouse oocyte.
* this is my question:*
can we  calculate *the ratio of orange and green **fluorescence(i*n JC1
staining) using Image J software?

Dear Dorna,
Yes, you can form the JC1 ratio by using the image calculator to perform
the division and making sure to check the "32 bit" output option.
The "result" image will have ratio values.
Please be careful to look for movement of mitochondria between capture
of the green and red channels-- that will corrupt your ratio since
objects no longer line up correctly.
cheers,
