Help: normalize

A. Khiat
Hi,
I have to measure and compare the mean T2 signal intensities from a brain
region of 20 patients, before to do that I think I have to normalize or
standardize the images. Could someone give me some advise please.

Thanks

Hi A Khiat
I don't know if someone has written an imagej plugin for this since
its quite an involved piece of coding but you can download a program
called fsl (http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/) that has an antomical
standardization modules in.  In addition if you have matlab you can
also download SPM2 (http://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/) which also
contains a spatial normalisation module. These are all academic
freeware for processing and analysing PET/MRI/fMRI. I would also
recommend MRIcro (http://www.sph.sc.edu/comd/rorden/mricro.html) as a
simple easy to use ROI tool.

Good luck
Anna
