How do you make multiple linear measurements

Hello I am using Image J for the first time and I am trying to make multiple linear measurements.

I have tried looking at several tutorials and I have experimented with the program for 1 day now.

How do you make multiple lines on a jpeg image (of a microscope specimen)? I later want to use these lines to make calibrated measurements of my specimen.
