Hello
I am beginner in using Image J, and I have problem adding plugins to the main program. For instance I tried to add stack builder by the following way: Open Image J Go to internet Plugins> Stack> stack builder Installation: download stack builder.class to the plugins folder and restart Image J I saved it in program files/imagej/plugins, restart image J. I can’t see it in the plugins. Could you please help with that? Thanks A. Diarra |

Hash: SHA1 Hello, it should work the way you described it. I just tried and it worked ok for me. What operating system are you running on? What is your ImageJ version? Make sure that the name of the file "Stack_Builder.class" is not modified. Are you using the right folder? Is the plugins folder a subfolder of the folder containing ImageJ.exe. Do you have multiple ImageJ versions installed? Hi Abdoullah,
maybe your plugin is in Plugins>Miscellaneous? This happens if the option "move isolated plugins to misc menu" in Edit>Options>Misc is activated. Hi Michael
I noticed that I can add plugins to ImageJ if I download ImageJ without Java. I can't add the plugins if I download ImageJ bundled with Java. Are you sure you do not have more than one copy of IJ installed and you put the plugins in the folders of one installation but run the other? Cheers G |

Hi,

It may just be the case that you add your plugins to the wrong directory. Try this: open a new macro with Plugins>New>Macro and paste this command into that window: write(getDirectory("plugins")); Then run it with Macros>Run Macro (it is a menu of the macro window). Compare this with your idea where the plugins should be. Hth, Dscho -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail? |
