How to close brakets in a Text Window editor

CARL Philippe (LBP)
Dear all,

I have found a quite funny bug within the Text Window using at least a
French keyboard (azerty).

Indeed on such keyboards, the opening brakets "{" are written with the "Alt
Gr + 4" keys combination as for the closing brakets "}" are normally
obtained with the "Alt Gr + +" keys combination.

But as within the ImageJ Text Window editor it is possible to correctly use
the "Alt Gr + 4" keys combination to write a "{", the use of the "Alt Gr +
+" keys combination doesn’t write a "}" but instead increases the Text
Window font size.

I guess this issue can only be found on a French (azerty) keyboard but
walking around the lab I didn’t find any US (qwerty) or German (qwertz)
keyboard to test this hypothesis.

Also talking about the Text Window would it be possible to add "replace" and
"Redo" functionalities as well as color format written code within it?

I thank you very much in advance for your help wish you all a nice day.

My best regards,

Philippe

Not sure this will be useful but using a UK layout in linux:
"{" is "Alt Gr + 7"
"{" is "Alt Gr + 0"

"Alt Gr + 4" shows the Euro symbol
"Alt Gr + +" shows nothing (no cursor advance).

{ and } are called by "Shift + ["  and "Shift + ]" respectively.
Cheers

Dear Gabriel,
On an azerty keyboard "[" is done with "Alt Gr + 5" and "]" is done with
"Alt Gr + )".
But "Shift + Alt Gr + 5" and "Shift + Alt Gr + )" gives nothing either
within the ImageJ Text Window editor or outside.
See you,
Philippe

This 1.52j9 regression is fixed in the latest daily build (1.52k41). The regression was caused by using the ‘+’ key as a shortcut for the editor’s Font>Make Text Larger command.
