How to fix some photos

Néstor
Hello,
thanks for your awesome app. I need some help on how to fix many
images with the same problem. Please find attached a sample. I need to
remove the marks. Is there any way to fix it automatically? Thank you!

Hi Nestor,

this was posted already a few days ago. Probably there was no answer
because the question was not clear.

If you want to get rid of the vertical dark line (scratch?), there is a
way to get suppress it, but having it fully automated probably won't be
easy. For doing it manually with one image, it might be a few minutes of
work.

If you want to get rid of the snowflake-like patches (have microbes
eaten the dye layers of a silde?), this looks much more challenging to
me. With a lot of manual intervention, you might find a way to make
these patches appear more weakly it in even areas (sky), but not in
places with much detail (the rest of the image). The first thin I would
try is the trainable weka segmentation (available in Fiji/ImageJ2, not
in ImageJ 1.x)
