How to get open image name from image sequence?

i am developing a plugin and i need the name of the image from the image sequence opened, that is currently show in the window.

can anyone suggest any way to do so?

i tried getting the status bar text and the scroll bar position to do so but was unable to get both the attributes.

Kindly help me regarding the same
