Hi Peter,
The easiest way to measure the longer lines of pixels is to use the particle analyser - Analyze - Analyze Particles. You can then specify a minimum size, e.g. I used 500 pixels and only got the longer strings in your image. You can also filter out based on circularity.

I want to exclude any dots or round spots on a image and only keep elongated pixels. For example wrinkles.
