IJ Question: Area Calibration from a Second Picture

Stephanie Huang
Hi,

I'm working for the USDA Center for Urban Forest Research, and I'm trying
to implement the use of ImageJ for leaf area analysis.

Is there a possible way to calibrate area from a thresholded region of
known area on a second picture to find the thresholded area of the first
picture? I understand how to use the set scale method (thanks to Larry
Reinking for the PDF), but the two image method would be preferred.

Thanks!

If both objects are parallel to the focal plane of the camera and the
same distance from the camera, then the scales are the same as well.
