Dear ImageJ Community
May somebody there help me please. I need to read the counts in a planar image using ImageJ. My main concern is that the values of the image counts I get using ImageJ differ by a margin of thousands from those I get direct from the computer interfaced to the E-Cam Siemens gamma camera when using the installed software. Theoretically these image counts should not differ so much for the same planar image. May be I am not using the ImageJ properly. This is how I am doing it. Using the circular tool I drew a tight region of interest around the boundaries of the planar image. On pressing the keys ctrl + m. I get the value of the image counts given as integrated density. Firstly I had to set measurements using the following procedure: Analyze - Set measurements and on the window that popped up I selected centroid, Min &Max Gray Values and Integrated density that I took to represent the image counts from my planar image. I would be happy to get advice maybe
I am doing it wrongly.
