It is actually surprisingly difficult to find publically accessible
sample data on the Web.
My lab has posted some sample Bio-Rad PIC data (confocal fluorescence)
on the VisBio web site at:
http://www.loci.wisc.edu/visbio/data.htmlIn particular, the sdub dataset reconstructs well with semi-transparent
volume rendering techniques.
We also have a sample dataset in TIFF format available at:
http://www.loci.wisc.edu/ome/ome-tiff-data.htmlHowever, that one does not reconstruct nearly so well. But it might be a
good test of new volume rendering algorithms.
