ImageJ Programmer Needed

Jerry Green
We are in the process of creating a programming team skilled with ImageJ or related tools to create a software product for the medical community. We project the project to last approx. 6 - 8 months and can be done remotely.

The overall project is to create a software package/service that would be used by medical professionals to review and analysis X-ray images. We are targeting an ASP model with limited hardware install. Smart Client, Applets and browser based apps are the targeted platform. They have a very manual analysis process now that they would like to automate. It would involve taking X-ray imaging output in file format (TIFF, JPEG, PNG, RAW possible) finding points within the image and calculating angles and line segments based on points within the image. We need to automate as much of the initial point acquisition and line generation process as possible with easy to adjust features. Processing time to generate is targeted at 90 sec or less. I know that  seems long for a real time app but is acceptable for first iteration.

I see the process in multiple steps :
• Image point acquisition
• Measurement generation
• Line and angle creation
• Generate updated image (possible 3D rendering)
• Allow manual corrections
• View / Export final image to multiple formats

We have a history of past instrumented images to work from and input from a pilot client.
