ImageJ ROI manager

Hannah Morgan
Hello,
I am a PhD student based at the University of Glasgow and have just started to use ImageJ to help me analyse my work.
I am using the ROI manager analysis tool to measure a specific area of tissue and I am just wondering the unit of measurement that is produced by the tool?
Many thanks for any help with this question.

Best wishes,
Hannah Morgan

Re: ImageJ ROI manager

Straub, Volko A. (Dr.)
Dear Hannah,

That depends on the calibration of your image. If your image is scaled, the measurements are in scaled units. If the image is unscaled (i.e. the image dimensions are just shown in pixels), then your measurements will be in pixels.

Hope this answers your question.
Regards,
Volko
