Hi everyone,
Some people have proposed creation of a separate "ImageJ developers" list,
while others have argued to keep one unified list.
To summarize the current situation, the following ImageJ-related mailing
lists exist now:
* ImageJ –
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/list.html – For general user and
developer discussion about ImageJ
* ImageJX –
http://groups.google.com/group/imagejx – For highly technical
and "big picture" developer discussion about ImageJ future directions
* ImageJDev –
http://imagejdev.org/mailman/listinfo/imagej-devel – For
communication and coordination of the ImageJDev project
* Fiji users –
http://groups.google.com/group/fiji-users – For Fiji user
discussion
* Fiji developers –
http://groups.google.com/group/fiji-devel – For Fiji
developer discussion
I have posted a similar summary on imagejdev.org at:
http://imagejdev.org/listsIt seems reasonable to use the main ImageJ list for discussion of the
current ImageJ including developer issues, use ImageJX to flesh out broad
future development ideas, use ImageJDev to actually coordinate effort and
assign tasks to the development team, and use the Fiji lists for discussion
specific to the Fiji project (rather than core ImageJ).
Is everyone satisfied with the lists above, and those usage guidelines? Or
do people want a different list organization?
