ImageJ plugin for Orthanc

Sebastien Jodogne
Dear ImageJ community,

I am the author of Orthanc, a free and lightweight DICOM server [1].

I write this message to warn you that I have just published an ImageJ
plugin to browse the content of an Orthanc server, then import 2D/3D
DICOM images from Orthanc into ImageJ.

Thanks to this plugin, you do not have to manually organize your DICOM
images in the filesystem: Orthanc just does the indexation job for you.
There is also no need to carry on any complex network configuration,
since the plugin uses the HTTP API of Orthanc. This makes its use quite
straightforward.

A video demonstrating the plugin is available [2]. Development snapshots
of the plugin can be downloaded from SourceForge [3].

I hope this plugin will prove to be useful to medical physicists (e.g.
for the quality control of DICOM modalities), as well as for pedagogical
use. Do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you encounter any
problem or if you want additional features.

Kind regards,
Sébastien-

FYI, the source code of the plugin is now publicly available:
https://code.google.com/p/orthanc-imagej/

Is there any directory of ImageJ plugins where I should place this information?

Regards,
Sébastien-
