ImageJ to control CoolSnap Camera

christophe leterrier
I have an old CoolSnap Camera (Roper Scientific) and I currently use the
RSImage sofware, which is terrible. I would like to acquire images with
ImageJ but I don't know how to do that. Is there a possibility with a
plugin or something ? I'm looking for a free solution, thanks !

Re: ImageJ to control CoolSnap Camera

Bonjour Christophe.

CoolSnap cameras are from Princeton Instruments and are just
distributed by Roper. Bruxton have a driver (US$ 795.00) for Coolsnap
cameras that works with ImageJ. Check their web site at :
http://www.bruxton.com/SIDX/

Jerome.

Uniblitz shutter control using image J ?

Jan Peychl
Dear all,

following the discussion about Coolsnap driver that works with image J,
I wonder
if there is any chance to drive Uniblitz shutter with image J ? Does
anybody have
an experience with such solution ? Any suggestion would very welcome .
Thank you very much for your answers in advance.

Jan

Re: Uniblitz shutter control using image J ?

Jerome Mutterer
Jan,
I have a very basic but working windows solution. The Uniblitz shutter
is connected to the shutter (SH) board of a Ludl Mac2000 controller.
Using the javacomm API, I can send serial commands to the Ludl to
open/close the shutter.
Let me know offlist if this would be working for your setup.

You should also visit Vincenzo Della Mea 's page at :
http://mitel.dimi.uniud.it/moss/ijstage.php
He has a macOs and a Win version of a stage controller that can most
probably be used to control your shutter as well with minor changes.
