Hi All,
I'm trying to open a single tif image which can have a size of up to 2.5GB using ImageJ on Window 7 Pro 64-bit.
ImageJ attempts to load it, but when loading is almost complete I receive the following java error message:
"Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working".
I'm using the latest 64-bit Java 1.7 JRE (update 17) and ImageJ 1.46r.
ImageJ is running in 64-bit mode (as confirmed by looking at the title of the Memory & Threads dialog box) and has been allocated 6GB of RAM (as confirmed in the About dialog).
The command I use to run ImageJ is:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms6000m -Xmx6000m -cp ij.jar ij.ImageJ
Or variations thereof...no luck though.
Is there something obvious I'm missing (in which case apologies)?
Or is there some limitatation on individual file size?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,
Sander
