ImajeJ slow on MAcBook Pro

HI All,

I was fine with ImageJ on my MacBook Pro running Mavericks until yesterday.
For what ever the reason it started to work very slowly.
I deleted the preferences of ImajeJ, I also fixed permissions and re zapped the ram.

In addition I also downloaded new version of imajeJ and updated via help menu, nothing is helping the speed of it.

Can someone help please.
I am running 10.9.2/ Icore7i 2ghz Mac Pro
