Dear list members,
I was experiencing difficulties when saving a 16-bit image sequence on
Windows XP - Windows Explorer would crash when just opening the folder with
the image sequence. I now did some research on the Internet and came across
a solution that lets you disable 3rd Party Shell Extensions:
http://www.helpwithwindows.com/techfiles/explorer-crashes.html
There is a freeware program called "ShellExView", that lets you view and
disable shell extensions. Disabling all non-microsoft shell extensions
(you'd be surprised how many there are.) really helped in my case.
So, in the future, if you discover ImageJ and/or Windows Explorer to behave
strangely, this solution might help you as well.
Happy image analysis,
Florian
