The Open Microscopy Environment consortium (
http://openmicroscopy.org/) is
currently seeking renewed funding for the Bio-Formats project (
http://www.loci.wisc.edu/software/bio-formats). We have various ways of
measuring the utility of our tools (downloads, installs, upgrade checks),
but nothing beats real user feedback. Our funders need to see your words and
comments to assess how we are doing, and whether they should continue
funding us.
Hence, for those using Bio-Formats, it would be extremely helpful for us to
hear about whether/how it has been useful for your work. Any feedback is
welcome, whether positive or negative. Particularly helpful are comments
that suggest priorities for the future.
You can write to us off-list by replying to the Bio-Formats email address (
[hidden email]), or to me directly. Responses will not be
published, but may be included in our funding applications, and so subject
to normal peer review.
