You can open JP2 files with Bio-Formats (
http://loci.wisc.edu/bio-formats/imagej).
If you download and install the Fiji distribution of ImageJ (
http://fiji.sc/),
it comes with many useful plugins preinstalled including Bio-Formats, and
has an automatic updater feature as well.
