I had the same problem. The trick is to compile your code with the
Java 5 compiler outside of ImageJ and drop the resulting .class in
ImageJ's plugins folder.
Or maybe there's a better way, but since I use Emacs for coding
anyway, I didn't feel compelled to look for it.
