Java on Win XP 64bit

Michael Weber-4
Hi everybody,

I just tried to start ImageJ on a Windows XP 64bit system, but an error
message "Could not create the Java Virtual Machine" appears. So I
downloaded the 64bit version of Java 2 SDK 1.4.2_10, but there appears
another error message "Installation package is not supported by this
processor type". Processor is a Dual Pentium D 3,2 GHz. Do you have any
suggestions how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

Which Windows version of ImageJ did you try? The one bundled with Java
1.3.1 or the one with Java 5.0? The one with the newer version of Java
is more likely to work on Windows XP x64.
