LUT

Braekevelt Martin
Dear all,

I need to measure volume fractions on 8-bit grey scale images with very small differences in grey levels. Is there a way to reduce grey levels in an image within ImageJ ? By this it would make thresholding easier I guess. I also cannot find to determine different threshold levels in one image with respectively false color on the tresholded images giving me the volume fractions in % in the measure results.
I have used the LUT function and it also give me a good interpretation of what I want to measure but I cannot find a way to alter the pixel data from the LUT.

I hope someone can help me with some information.
Thanks in advance,

Martin.

Re: LUT

Hi Martin,

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but what it sounds like is that you are asking to actually keep the LUT alterations (thereby altering the pixel data).

If your image is in 8-bit when you apply the LUT, you can change the image type to RGB after the LUT is applied. This will permanently change the colors present in the image and will hopefully give you more options on how to edit your photo.

Sincerely,
