Length of a branch in a tree

Hi List,
I've a segmented (binary) image of branches in a tree. I am trying to
calculate the length of each branch. I tried to find the same via Feret
length..but this will give me the largest distance between 2 points on a
branch and not the actual length of the branch...any idea of how can it be
done? Or is there any plugin available for the same.

Maybe the Simple Neurite Tracer from Mark Longair can do the job.
