I'm trying to record a macro that will take an image, select lanes, run gel analysis, then take the resulting density plot and select the two peaks with the magic wand (thus getting the two area values).
Everything if fantastic up until I start trying to do things to the density plot. I've recorded a macro wherein I draw two vertical lines surrounding each peak (I know exactly where they will be each time). When I run the macro the lines don't get drawn. I've tried this with many different lines, and though they record (I can see the code for drawing the lines), they never get drawn when the macro runs.
The other problem is that I use the wand to select the peaks, and I can see the code in the macro, and when the macro runs it does seem to run the magic wand command. The problem here is that when I do this manually, using the magic wand gives me a readout of the peak areas, but when it happens in the macro, there's no read-out. The peaks are selected but no areas are given.
I'm pretty new to this and I'll keep messing around but any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks everyone.
