Making Quicktime movie

Robert Martin-3
Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me.  I have used virtual stack opener to
get a series of images that I want to save as a quicktime Movie.  I
have downloaded the Save Stack as Quicktime Movie Plugin and to my
knowledge also have downloaded and installed Quicktime and Quicktime
for Java as well as the latest Java runtime environment as the
application requires.

I am trying to figure out whether these applications need to be saved
in a particular spot on my harddrive or what went wrong?

After cliking the save/save as quicktime movie I get the following
message

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: quicktime/std/StdQTConstants
 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)
 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)
 at ij.io.PluginClassLoader.loadClass(PluginClassLoader.java:234)
 at ij.io.PluginClassLoader.loadClass(PluginClassLoader.java:199)
 at ij.IJ.runUserPlugIn(IJ.java:271)
 at ij.IJ.runPlugIn(IJ.java:117)
 at ij.Executer.runPlugIn(Executer.java:171)
 at ij.Executer.runCommand(Executer.java:133)
 at ij.Executer.run(Executer.java:63)
 at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Does anyone have a clue what I'm missing or doing wrong at this point?

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I'm still having a problem saving an image sequence to a quicktime
movie.  Does the error message below look familiar to anyone or does
it point to a possible solution?

Thanks
Robert Martin

Hi Robert,

this is what I checked for a colleague a while ago:

--------
quicktime export - this works on our machines:

install java:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

download quicktime standalone:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

install (or upgrade) imagej:
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/download.html

install quicktime writer for imagej:
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/movie-writer.html

open image in imagej:
select file > save as > quicktime export
--------
